Hey man, mine is broken too, i got a quote from Mazda just for the hell of it,,,they wanted "around $400" to replace the inside of my passanger door. My entire handle was ripped out and someone had glued it back in. Thinking of some customizing to work with what's there. Let me know if you have any ideas!

Been looking for the passenger door grab bar assembly thingy piece for 6 months.

Can't find it anywhere. I delayed the install of my Brushed Alum Overly Kit because I didn't want to put part of it on the broken piece (that I broke when i reached over from the driver seat to close the passenger door). Couldn't wait any longer so I installed all but the passenger door piece.

Then, when I picked up my car after getting my B-day present installed (Boston Acoustic Pro 6.5's) in the doors, I noticed the audio tech had reattached the grab bar piece to my door.

I know it's not perfect, because part of the plastic broke off(where the screw attaches the handle to the interior panel), but they did put it on pretty tight.

So I guess the audio tech thought he broke it during the install.

Lucky me!

I would still like to get a replacement, but the dealer price is $311.00

Any ideas on where we can find a bunch of these parts?

I bet there are 50 people wanting the same thing.

Yeah, the other day, mine broke completely off! I have some electrical tape holding it on sort of, but it looks pretty ghetto like that. It would be cool if someone made an aftermarket one: they could make a ton off of them since the majority of FD owners have them broken. Sigh..I don't feel like spending $300 on a piece of plastic.

Wink No need to buy one...fix it

My friend broke mine while trying to close the passenger side door...I first tried using regular heat epoxy glue without much success, it did not even hold up to pulling on it once (the door is too heavy). Then I found this site and followed the instructions using a cold epoxy called JB Weld. Takes about overnight for it to dry completely but it did the trick...no more broken door handle. It is still holding up well after 3 months.
