Their prices aren't substantially better, either.

$2200 for a copy of the ASP Large or Pettit III, when the originals cost $1500?

That place uses photo of our customer's car. They don't even have their own photo of their product. Our vmounts also come with a radiator which is the hardest part to figure out how to mount. Their kit does not come with the radiator and the intercooler core looks like the same crap you can buy on ebay for $150-$200 for the rest of the ones they sell. Buy from them and find out the hard way.

chuck is the coolest guy for parts questions. I asked him a question about hoods and he had no problem helping me out. Also, I've seen chucks creations first hand with martins car and i was very impressed in the quality and size of the v mount. I'd pay more just to know chuck built it.

I like how Chuck is the only one allowed to copy other people's stuff, just because he does a good job...

Although this threads topic is on intercoolers, I think he's speaking of Chuck making "knock off" body kits.

Thought I remembered someone saying he copied the V-mount from HKS, not sure if that's the truth though.

The comments I'm referring to were in this thread:

I thought so too, but if I remember right, the HKS v-mount doesn't come with a radiator. HKS says it was designed to be used with the stock radiator, and aftermarket radiators may/will not fit.

That's also mentioned in the thread I posted.

Whether or not the parts offered by Rotary Extreme are good quality for the price doesn't negate the fact that it is still a copy, IMO.

I stated that once, and you bashed me for it!

Either way, I think people would be quite surprised on how cheap they can do a v-mount. It just takes a bit of time. It's ~450.00 for a complete custom radiator, or a factory replacement (koyo, fluidyne, ect. ect.), and ~600.00 for a spearco core. Quite a bit cheaper than any v-mount, and can be done just as good. ~1000.00 in savings is good enough for me to find some time!

I knew you would bring that up, do u really want to start that up again?

But in all seriousness I wasn't saying it was "****" because it was a copy. I was posting in agreement with what scotty305 said and it wasn't directed at you.

Chuck's v-mount is NOTHING like the HKS v-mount. I mean, they aren't even close. If anything, Chuck's is most like the KS v-mount, but it's still different. None of those Japanese companies make a nice complimentary battery tray (well, the HKS v-mount does) or intake to go along with the v-mount.

The intercooler setups linked to for the start of this thread are blatant copies and are extremely overpriced.

I agree with you there, those guys are really shameless. I was just trying to point out the double-standard that I've seen, particularly with regards to rotary extreme selling things that were designed by somebody else.

The HKS vmount does not even come with a radiator. Our vmount came out before the HKS did.

I just tried to point out their vmount is not complete. I mean they don't even have a photo of it. If you buy it, it's not going to work. I am just trying to warn the people who try to save a few hundreds and end up spending more or getting ripped off.

If you want to talk about copy bodykits, there are tons of threads about it already. I sell either one. I am more than happy to import the original bodykits for the customers and I have done so many times. The decision is yours, just like on the vmount. You can buy an incomplete kit thinking you save hundreds or you can buy something that's already proven to work.

You're making it sound easier then it is. Read some of the comments in this thread:
