Talking Look what came out of hiding!!!

Well, April 1st is when insurance officially kicks in... but I couldn't help but get her ready for it. It's always nice getting a break in winter. So when a freak 50 degree day hits, I turned the water on and gave her a wash. I decided to take some pics while I was at it. Sorry if the photos are bad. I was rushing and the camera I have really sucks anyways... Oh, I also took her out around the block to feed the craving...

Spring is just around the corner... can't wait.

What's that white stuff on the ground - is that the "snow" that I've heard of?

Looks good!

thanks guys... yeah, I hate that white stuff (both snow AND salt) on the ground. It's there almost 6 months out of the year. It sucks that I only get to drive it 1/2 the year. But hey, it keeps the miles off, plus I get to work on the winter projects, AND I keep looking forward to any and every time I get to sit behind the wheel!!!

I can't possibly imagine living in a place where I can't drive my car for 4 months out of the year.

Nice car BTW

Wow. That's a gorgeous Vintage Red. How did you keep it so red? lol The one I bought is faded like crazy.

thanks guys... yes, it's mostly stock save for reliability mods. The stock look is the purddiest, IMO

CGotto6 - - It's an HKS catback. You're the 2nd person to say we have the same exhaust I love my HKS. It's not loud and obnoxious, yet gets throaty under WOT. Prolly comparable to RB duals?

Montego - - Thanks man... although it's more like 6-7 months out of the year. I take advantage of the weather as soon as the snow and salt is clear. I can't stand that stuff on my car. It still sucks though that I can't enjoy it the whole year I might consider moving south someday... as job permits.

FadedFD - - Yes, that is the original Vintage Red. It's a 93 and always meticulously taken care of. I guess I was also blessed in that my paint (for a 93) did not have any defects like immediate fading or peeling. I heard this was common to some 93's. It's always waxed, never rained on or snowed on, so I guess that helps. My camera sucks too it doesn't show the real red. The photo on my VB garage was taken by my buddy's camera and that's a lot better...

I don't know, that red looks incredible. Very nice ride and I love the stock chromies. You are totally opposite from me, I park mine during the summer! Washing a car with snow around, unbelievable.

RX 4, do you by any chance have the hi-reflex paint option? I have it on my car and I noticed I don't suffer from the fading problems like most other VR cars either. I've only found a couple other people that have it so I don't know if its just a concidence or if its related.

lol... must be nice to actually park it because of the excessive heat, and not the cold It's always cold here. Thanks though... the stock chromes must stay. I always somehow talk myself out of aftermarket rims because these are perfect... lightweight already.

Hey Nathan... I have never heard of hi-reflex paint. Was that an option available from the dealer? I don't believe mine has it... Has anyone else heard of this? Can someone elaborate?

Thanks so much. I have seriously been trying to figure this out for the good part of a year that I have owned the car. I have been being forced to say that is just has a "cat back" on it of some sort. BTW, car looks great. Makes me realize why theres a '93 VR R1 parked in my garage. Keep it clean!

Alright - it's not a VR, but it came out in the snow recently too. Gotta get it out when you can!

Do they use salt where you are? I wouldn't take a million bucks to move back to Ohio. The salt is a killer. Not to mention 6 months of freekin' winter....well practically. And about 30 days of sunshine each year.

Thanks man. Definetly a new lip in the very, very near future. Actually- I've decided to go 99 front and lip. My bumper has some dimples on it from wearing a front liscence plate most of it's life in another state
Yes - that is my RB dual tip. I installed a full 3'' exhaust from the turbo back and I love the RB.

^ About the bumber, in fact - I am looking at exactly what ptrhahn has there on his beauty. I love it. Is that a Rotary Extreme version?

sweet... you'll be all set when you go 99. Let me know how that goes... I keep thinking about going 99 spec too, but when I look at my 93 spec, I keep thinking, "Why change it? It looks good, and is classic."... but you never know. I love both looks I guess...

Hey Ptrhahn, what rims and specs are those? That has a gunmetal finish? I am torn between gunmetal and chrome finishes. If I get new rims, those are definitely what I would consider. Are they SSR's? Sweet car by the way... I do errands for the wife too, but in my daily driver!
