Talking look at my driver's side motormount

needless to say.. it fell apart when i took it off the car.

yucky.. goopy stuff everywhere.

the top two are the old ones...

the bottom two are the new ones.

if you order a brand new stock driver motormount from mazda its a new design that looks exactly like the passenger mount. its steel now and is not aluminum like the old mount. a little heavier but i guess studier. also the brace around the rubber is twice as thick.

under 200 bucks each from mazdaformance..

cheaper alternative are the poly mounts from rotorsportsracing.

That's wierd. I always thought the passenger side was the one to let go. Mine was pretty bad when I replaced it. I think I had an older mount. The newer ones have a heat shield to protect it from those hot turbos?

I would have just upgraded to solid mounts
It eliminates the need for these stupid braces everyone uses
