Smile The long wait is over

After >4 months I finally got my car back from No Limit Restorations in Manassas Park, Virginia. They did a great job. Note the vented hood...

Cool

Why 4 months:

Vented hood arrived cracked and waited on replacement.
OEM spoiler ordered from a guy in Fla. Took awhile
Car taken apart apart and painted; just after they painted a silver 1967 Mustang. Silver bits ended up in my black paint and when final buffing the car, Tom the shop owner saw the flakes which He claims I would not have seen for months. He decided to start over again.

It really came out nice. The car has 40,600 miles and is running great. This is my 2nd FD, the first one was sold when my 3rd child came along. He is now 10 and the oldest child moved out. The balance has returned with my new FD project car. These cars, when everything is just right, are wonderful. All of you who have had that moment with your FD know exactly what I mean.

Good stuff, Mike. Glad you found an honest body man, they are definitely few and far between. Car looks great. I also agree with you on all your points in the 2nd paragraph. I have been only driving my FD on the weekends and it is killing me

I'll get more photos. I will continue to work on reliability improvements with some interest in performance.

When you've owned an FD once, the 2nd FD returns you to the experiences with the first. Take note of this and appreciate each time you drop into 1st or in reverse getting out of your driveway.
