long term storage: best kind of oil?

Does anyone know if if makes a difference whether to use a synthetic or regular oil when storing ones car over a long period of non driving? Any other tips for storage or very seldom driven cars would be helpful.

When you say seldom driving the car, what are you talking about for sitting intervals?

To some people, 2 weeks is a long time not to drive one of their cars.

You're changing the oil in order to ensure that dirty oil doesn't have all that time to cake/gunk up stuff. It doesn't really matter what kind you use.

Try running a search for 'long term storage'. There are other tricks worth reading about.

Id be more concerned with your fuel rather than your oil if you're storing the car for a long time.

That being said, just use the oil you have been always using.
