Location of coolant buzzer
That damn thing is driving me nuts. My car's a 93 converted to a 96 engine with a 96 harness. The previous owner managed to rewire the dash but the damn coolant sensor is constantly on and constantly buzzing. I had the whole cluster removed but as the buzzer is so high pitched I can't tell where the hell it comes from. Mine's a RHD but any info on where this is located on you LHD cars would be much appreciated. I know I know the danger of having this thing removed but it's not working now and I can never rewire the harness to make it work!
Thanks for any info in advance

I belive it's in the instrument cluster - not 100% sure, though. Start there.

I stuck my ear close to the cluster but it's only so far that you can slip your head between the windscreen and the steering wheel The buzz doesn't seem to originate from there. It's a pain to take it apart and unless I'm pretty pretty sure, I'll try not to venture inside!

I know when I had it all apart and was having the same problem I unplugged the water temp gauge and it turned off. I'm pretty sure its on the back of the gauge or something but wait for someone else to verify.
BTW infront of the thermostat housing there is the coolant level sensor that is supposed to touch coolant and ground out causing the buzzer to stay off. If you hook that up correctly or ground the wire that goes to the buzzer it will remain off.
