Question little black box that holds fumes

I had read that there is a little black box or canister that holds in fuel fumes and stores them to be burned later in the engine. some say that by 'cleaning' this out it can help with emissions. if so.... where is it? i looked in the manual but i could only find a charcol box. is that it? what about the little canister under the throttle body. thanks for the input.

Baa Waa Haa!

The Charcoal Canister is located inside of and above the left rear wheel. It can not be emptied. The Mazda manual has very good diagrams showing such things.

What they were referring to was to disconnect it when emissions testing. If the purge solenoid is activated during the test, the AFRs may go richer when the gas fumes are sucked into the engine. The engine has to be under load for this to happen.

It is easier to disconnect the line where it goes under the throttle body elbow through that little tank/canister which is used to catch any condensation.
