What is the line coming out of the intake elbow (compression tube) for? I know those of you who have upgraded elbows, (ie- Greddy or HKS) have had to get rid of it so I'm just wondering what you did. I just recieved my HKS injector elbow and to my suprise there was no connection for this small pipe close to the firewall. I would attempt to trace it but I do not want to take off my UIM anymore. Try a search for greddy elbow and you should come up with something. I believe people either block it off or re-route it

 

It is the AWS Advance Warmup System, if you are running a PFC then you dont need it. Some people have reported stalling when they block this off or to much oil in the firewall when they put a filter on it.

 

I think it has somthing to do with the high idle at start up. If you have a PFC it won't matter because it does not have that function. Some people put a filter on it. others will plug it(I did with a spark plug)or you could get a block off plate but you don't want to remove the uim. Any one know for sure I am still a newbie

 

It's the AWS hose, plug it up or block it off.
