Question LIM gasket question

Hey all,

I've been working on my newly installed rebuilt motor ... see this thread.

Anyway, I've been having a few problems ... to be expected ... amongst which is a very rich idle / stalling problem.

I noticed the LIM to motor gasket picture in the parts fiche (page 1-C 4) from iluvmyrx7.com while looking for parts numbers.

The gasket has several holes cut for things other than the 4 intake runners. In the picture, there is a hole that I do not have. It's just under the secondary intake hole for the rotor nearest the passenger compartment. Does anyone know if I should have this? I.E. did my rebuilder (who supplied the gasket) give me some sort of block off gasket? Could this be affecting my idle?

thoughts?

thanks,

James

PS ... see the
red in the attachmet.

I'm wondering the same thing. My new engine's LIM gasket doesn't have the cutout as shown in the manual, but neither does the one from my old engine (which ran ok), so I'm assuming it's normal.

IIRC, that hole doesn't go anywhere. You should be ok.
