Lexan Windshield Attachment

Need (would like to) put a windshield in our 24 Hours of LeMons Car. Car is currently being caged. Roof and windshield frame are jacked so plan is to beat it into stock-ish shape with a BFH.

Going to buy a sheet of 1/8" Lexan from Home Depot Racing and Development and weld in one or two supporting bars since its going to flex. Yes I know 1/4" would be better but 1/8" is $100 a sheet so thats what I'm going with.

Ive done this before in another LeMons race car by welding bolts into the frame and using nuts to hold the Lexan in place.

This time, I'd like to see how others have done it on their race car FD's to see if I can get some inspiration.
