My favorites are Alpine, Kenwood and Ungo. Basically alarms make noise and add luxury features such as keyless entry and leaving the dome light on after you close the doors. As far as best alarm, it should be smart enough to prevent false alarms. Add a manual kill switch and theft recovery system. Pay extra to hide the horn and the brain.

Actually alarm just like a keyless entry. If they want to steal your car, alarm can't do anything. So, always park in a safe spot such as main street and never park at the corner are the best ideas. Anyway, just my opinion.
