OK, guys, i am helping a friend putting is engine back together and we have a couple of problem. If you can answer to any of these questions, that would be great.

First, when i helped an other a friend i took this pic. In the red circle there is something that looks like there is a ground there, we don’t seem to have that on his, anyone know where this is coming from?

this is coming from something aftermarket, anyone know what it is? Could it be a small filter for the HKS BOV?

The hole on the left lower is where Garfinkle puts the heavy ground cables that he makes from welding cable. The filter is not stock Mazda but aftermarket sa you think. The engine pull bracket is not stock for a 3rd gen. The uim part to pull the motor has two mounting holes, the front one also has two mount holes.

The 3rd pic is definitely identical to the Vac filter on my HKS BOV, and the 4th pic is the piece that mounts on the back left side of the UIM if you are lookin at the engine from straight on...

Yep, what he said.

Except your red circle is not the same hole on the old motor vs new. Your red circle is on the bottom bolt hole in old motor pic and the top hole in the new motor pic.
