It will have yellow turn signals in there some where as its made for Japan.

Looks interesting, I imagine they'd look good on a non-stock body FD.

The turn signals are below the brake lights

Nice concept, but I would have designed it differently personally.

I would like to see what they look like turned off.

Since I probably know these tails better than anyone (well, David Hayes probably knows them as well as I do, at this point...), here's my 2-cents on these tails:

The problem with this type of design (esp. on our tail lights) is what happens when 1 LED burns out - then you have a gap in the design.

e.g. let's pretend 1 random LED dies on the light, now your tails look like this:

And believe me, it does happen, even on OEM LED tail lights. Here are a few examples I found with a 2 second google search:
http://i46.tinypic.com/97inpi.jpg
http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/1DeadLED.jpg

Unless these tails use some kind of fancy back-housing replacement that allows easy access to "swap out" LED bulbs, it would be a nightmare to get that one deal LED changed out.

This is why I have always preferred the use of a "diffuser" in front of the LED arrays - that way if one LED dies, you are less likely to notice it since all the light gets diffused anyway.

Funny, I just bought another set of USDM tails to play with and I was picturing a very similar style/design, but with diffused light instead of exposed/single-LEDs...

Picture of the brake light? I hope they don't fill the center with round LEDs.

I agree, it would look good as a dual-intensity brake light. i.e. the driving lights simply get brighter, and the pattern/design doesn't change.

Basically what the Germans have been doing to their cars lately.
Same design as the new Audi's and Porsches.

It would be interesting to see these suckers on a car, full daylight and nite time use.

I was thinking a solid strip in the center section for brake, if the outer ring is setup to be both running and brake light then I think a solid amber strip in the center for turn signal will look better.

Looks like something you'd find on a kids toy or a fairground ride....I think for a design like that, light diffusers are a must...
