leaking exhaust manifold and vacuum leak?

i was doing some maintenance on my car the other day and i noticed something very odd. when i started to do a top engine clean on my engine(atf treatment) i noticed smoked pouring out from the exhaust manifold area! so i thought what could be causing that? a leaking exhaust manifold gasket, a cracked exhaust manifold. also my idle is at 1500rpm and breaks up i resealed everything when i replaced some vacuum lines and zip tied all the new lines i installed! guess she's gonna have to get a complete tear down!

Was the smoke coming out from between the exhaust manifold and the engine or between the exhaust manifold and the precat?

Either way, it doesnt necessarily mean you would have to completly tear down the entire engine.

i didn't mean tear the whole engine apart i mean't remove the manifolds. the smoke was coming from the area of the exhaust manifold to engine and intake manifold where they all reside.
