Latest Turbo Mag: 3Rotor FD on the cover!!!

Hey guys, just got the July issue of Turbo and it features a pretty wild 3rotor FD. Dyno numbers on it are 396RWHP and 391.5LB-FT torque. This is on 11psi and pump gas. The guy is from San Diego. If you are on this forum, I just have to say "Nice car!!!!"

Sounds like a nice car, but for a truly badass 3 rotor, check out the one PFS build with the single turbo three rotor.

Most of us know.. But the new owner of the car(the person in the article) is taking credit for building most of the car when he really bought the car like that.

There are two 20B powered FD's in San Antonio. One on stock twin's is pushing those figures. The other is using a T-66 and has yet to be dyno'd at full boost.

I got that issue as well. Kinda low hp figures for a 3 rotor. Granted, its only runnin 11 psi, but if I went through all that trouble and money I'm want to be pushing 500 hp. Whats with the hood on that car anyway? Looks like he just cut holes in the stock hood. Interior is unfinished as well.

Speaking of 20Bs, does anyone have any vids/sound clips of a 20b-powered 7? I have the vid from the PFS website of the red 20b powered FD on the dyno and it sounds SWEET! Every article I've ever read about the 3 rotor says it sounds just like a V12. I want more . . . does anyone have any? Thanks!

Peace

Actually that IC is twice as thick as the normal PFS IC.

If you look at farrell's it is lower and sets further back and that car handles better than stock! Not to say that pettit's version is not good but for $45,000 bucks it better be the ****....

Actually if you look at the pics again they look like thier almost in the same spot. Look at the pic you posted, the tower strut is in line with the 5th runner of the uim. Now look at the Pettit pic where its looking from the drivers side right down on the uim, the tower strut looks to be lined up with the 4th runner of the uim. Thats maybe a 3" difference. There isnt much diffference at all. I'd rather have Pettits custom made sub frame than Peters hack job of moving the firewall!!!!

Also, look at the difference in craftsmanship and presentation, the Farrell pics dont even come close to comparing to Pettits pics!!! I've seen Cams car in person(the blue one in the pics) and its is sssooooo clean, Farrells has a bunch of **** going eveywhere and it just looks terrible to me.

I'm sure they both haul *** though

STEPHEN
