Koyo R1443N Radiator Is Great
My 7 year old M2 1.5" core radiator started sweating coolant at one corner, so I replaced it this week with the Koyo. The Koyo core is 2 1/16" and it is a 3 pass where the M2 was a 1 pass.
The increased cooling results were immediately measureable.
With my old setup; PFC fans set at 86C, A/C turned on, 95F Houston heat, my water temperature would be about 87C cruising and up to 90C in stop and go traffic. If I turned on my fan control switch which made the fans run at speed 3 instead of the default 2, the temp would say the same.
With the same setup and the new Koyo, the water temp never got over 85C even when sprinting well above the speed limit. Then I decided to test it with less fans. I set the PFC to 88C and drove around with the A/C on (only fan speed 1 ). The temp was still at 85C. Next I drove it without the A/C and no fans on, the temp was still 85C. I stopped and let the engine idle untill the fans came on at 88C. Then started driving again and the temp dropped to 85C were I pulled over, opened the hood and sure enough the fans were no longer running.
This radiator cools so good under these tests that the thermostat seems to controlling the temp to a stable 85C with or without the fans on.
I run 75% distilled water, 25% DEXCOOL, and one bottle of REDLINE Water Wetter.

The New N-Flow.
Nice info...looks like I will get one.
I have a 5 year old Koyo. I have noticed this summer that I am running a little bit warmer. We have had record breaking temps for the last two months, our AVERAGE high is 108f! We have had some 114f days the last couple weeks, one Sunday we hit 116f! My temps hover around 95 to 100c at all times in the middle of the day, stop and go or freeway. On 110f or above days my FD will see 102 to 105c. I have talked to couple other FD owners in Arizona and they get the same numbers.

Save some cash, just get the regular Koyo. Only on extremely hot days in traffic do I break 90C, and its just a hair above that before fan speed 2 and the temps drop back down real quick.

I live in hot Houston with about 400whp, and can afford it.
Why skimp when it gives more protection.

I totally agree on this radiator. In Vegas it's over 100 degrees from Jun - September. I am ordering this Nflow Koyo tonight. Can you get it anywhere cheaper than Ebay? It's 359 + 34 for shipping. Awesome deal I think.. Need to make sure the 20B stays nice and cool...

I own a shop so my cost is much lower than retail, I think retail is around $550...XS Engineering offers them for $450. I would check out FDNewbie's offer.
LOL! Months ago my vendor tells me that this kit has been discontinued so I have been looking for a used kit for months. When I decided to see if a new one is availible, he gets the last one from Blitz for me...then I find out like three other people on this forum has done the same thing!

Notice that there isn't any guarantee in the auction that radiator is 100% genuine. There is a thread somewhere in this forum on fake Walbro fuel pumps for sale on Ebay. I checked out all the sellers of the Walbro fuel pumps availible on Ebay for the FD and only one offered had a 100% genuine guarantee.
