Koyo no fitty, and can you ID this?

The OEM one just slid right out. The Koyo...Not s'much.

I'm having a tough time getting it past the oil cooler lines. Any suggestions on how to fit it in there without disconnecting the oil coolers? Clip some plastic off of the fan shroud maybe?

Pics, suggestions, experiences or flat out directions would be KILLER. I can still make it to Mazfest if I can get this sucker in!

yes, Ive searched, but I haven't seen anyone post about the oil cooler lines getting in the way.

Also, while I have my car apart, I noticed some frayed wires/lines...can anyone ID these for me? I THINK it's the lines to the OMP...thnx in advance.

Maybe slide the Koyo in and then slide the rad fans separately and bolt them on?

Those lines are for the OMP. I just took mine off.

I had same problem with my pwr radiator.what i did what i unbolted the 10mm bolt bracket that hold the oil lines in place and slid the radiator right in.The oil lines are stiff and sturdy so they wont flop around. i don't know about the koyo but i had to redrill the upper radiator brackets for the radiator to slip on the sway bar mount.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

You can't install the fans onto the radiator after the rad. is mounted because you gotta kinda slide them in from the side which is impossible once the radiator's in place.

I did plenty of reading before I took on this lil' project, but it seems that most people had problems with the lower bracket and fan shroud. I ended up getting a friend to hold the hard lines out of the way while I slid the Koyo in. No cutting, no drilling, and no interference with my Blitz intercooler.

Easy like pie.

Definitely make sure you keep that frayed line out of the way of the main pulley----the four lines are for the OMP wiring harness and OMP lines to the rotor housings, and it looks like the damaged one is an oil metering line that runs to your squirters on the rotor housings. You definitely don't want one of those to be compromised and start leaking, for many reasons.

There are a few stock brackets to keep them out of the way, if they're missing an easy/quick fix is to zip tie the four lines together and out of the way of the pulley/any other moving parts.

I ended up using a zip-tie to keep them away from any moving parts, but it gets mighty hot right about there and my zip-tie is probably already melted.

I'll get back in there and give it another look, and thanks for the heads up, Rich!

The zip tie shouldn't melt there. And you definitely can't just remove them. If you run no oil metering you MUST premix. I can post some pictures of some housings that were run with no oil metering or premix. Get some stainless steel oil metering lines. That one looks like its leaking where was hit by the pulley.
