I was wondering if anybody could help me.How much should it typically cost to replace a knock sensor,and about how long should it take?Thanks in advance for any help!

 

If you have a pretty stock car, I would imagine a shop is going to charge you about 1.5 hours of labor. Depending on how buried the connector is, it shouldn't take longer than an hour to replace. If that connector is buried, it can be a pain unless you start removing more things than just the UIM (which adds more time).

 

Oh okay,thanks Mahjik..And about how much does the knock sensor itself cost?

 

I just bought one a few months back, but I can't remember. I'm thinking it was between $150-170 from Ray at Malloy Mazda. IIRC, it's about $220 from a normal Mazda dealer.
