Knightsports upgraded twins - any info?

My new car purportedly has upgraded twin turbos from Knightsports. I was wondering if anyone has these or knows anything about them. I like them a lot for the super quick (and loud!) spoolup, but I don't really know anything regarding what boost levels are safe for them/what kind of power they can make. Thanks, guys.

They utilize Turbonetics turbos. But apart from that info, that is all I know. At least until I make a call...

Do you think I could make around 350rwhp@13psi? I want to be around there, but also at a safe and reliable boost level. Also, if it's possible, I'd like to use a Power FC for engine management, but I hear that it's not the ideal choice. I also don't want to have to use a hand controller to tune, as it takes away from the stock looking interior.

Around, yes. Exactly, no. 415 at @ 1 bar = about 353rwhp @ 14 psi, so you'll be real close.

I want to be around there, but also at a safe and reliable boost level.
The twins are good for 16 - 17 psi no problem. The issue is your fuel. The stock fuel system will only support 12 psi safetly. 13psi and up you're pushing more than 80% duty cycle. 15 psi, you're pushing 100% duty cycle.

Also, if it's possible, I'd like to use a Power FC for engine management, but I hear that it's not the ideal choice.
I dunno who told you that. The PFC IS the ideal choice. Most widely used, well known, and the vast majority of ROTARY tuners are *very* familiar w/ it. That's my warning to you; do NOT have a piston motor tuner try to tune your rotary, no matter HOW good they are. Apples and oranges. You need a WELL KNOWN rotary tuner.

I also don't want to have to use a hand controller to tune, as it takes away from the stock looking interior.
You can leave the commander (the hand-held part) in your glovebox or under the seat etc. It doesn't have to be in plain view. Your tuner needs it to tune, then you can put it away.

Alright, Power FC it is, then. I'm going to sign up for the Steve Kan tuning session at SevenStock, and before then install the PFC/commander and upgrade the fuel system to 850cc/1300cc. It already has a Cosmo fuel pump so I think that would be enough. I don't know what PSI is reliable for a stock engine, though. It may only have 2000 miles but I don't want to pop it in the next 30,000 or so.

And Dirty, if I make 350rwhp you might be in trouble...

Sounds like you're on the right track. Just make sure you have the correct supporting mods like downpipe, exhaust, intake, intercooler, replacement AST, you'll prob need an HKS twin power for the breakup at higher rpms, efini y-pipe, HD clutch, etc.

I've got most of those, and before the tuning I'll probably have them all. Thanks for the info!

that and the fact that running 93 pump gas above 14 psi is playing with fire, esp with twins

Yes, 14 - 15 psi on pump is pretty much the limit, but eh, I know a cpl guys who know what they're doing and have run 16 - 17 psi on stockers for YEARS w/o ill effects. A lot of that comes to being smart w/ your setup and good tuning as well.
