K&N fuel filter relocation HELP!!!
Okay here's the deal.
I'm trying to follow Robinnette's instructions for fuel filter relocation, but they're vauge at best.
I attempted to build the filter w/ fittings and T for the fuel pressure gauge and whatnot, but after I got it all assembled, it was too large to fit in the area where the hoses are in the engine bay. what had happened is I got too many different adapters, and in turn it stretched out the size of the unit.
my problem is, I can't find the propper fittings to get this thing inline as well as what fittings and parts are needed for the OEM filter removal.
the more detailed and intricate information, the better.
thanks

My mechanic puts the filter lower down on the rear subframe, behind the dif . He drills two holes and taps them for the stock filter bracket. If you want another fire harzard put it in the engine bay .The rear is safer and he hae screw on fittingsso a filter change takes about 2 minuts, 3 if you are slow .His fuel pressure gauge is a tee brazed on the over size fuel line . That way there are no extra rubber hoses to leak or clamps to get loose . Just think it out .More parts in the bay to leak = a bigger fire .
