JVTR radiator

Hello from Greece. I got a new aluminium radiator from JVT racing for my 1995 fd3s. It s a 3 row design , really big BUT it has no breather. I mean it doesnt have any hole to connect it to the Air separator tank AST , but only the two ones that i connect to the engine.
Is it ok going this way? Does it have any advantages or disadvantages?

Thank you

maybe they require u to get rid of the AST first, if u still have the AST without rad coolin it, wouldnt it probably overheat and pop goes the coolant

my radiator is the same mate, its been designed for ast elimination, what you need to do it got rid of you AST install new rad, connect both hosesto the rad(top and bottom) get an fc filler neck with overflow tube and replace your old one with it, plug the hose from the overflow tank to your new filler neck, blank the hole off(bit lower on your filler neck - you won't be using it anymore so you can weld it with piece of bolt or whatever. and as a last thing replace the filler cap with an FC one (with the spring) or use an AST cap (its 16 PSI like in FC)

i had to go through all of it mate, if you searched before you asked you would find my tthread about it - everything is in there

BTW this rad really does its job when i was using a standard one i boiled the cooland after about 20 minutes driving(quite fast tho)

good luck

might help or just click my profile and search for all threads i started - everythings there

so i just get the fc's filler neck and connect its hole to the reservoir tank without anything else between them! and when i want to add some water i put it in the reservoir tank..?
where did u install it ?? behind the intercooler AND the a/c?
will this be better than stock ? because of the reduced airflow now that it will go behind the intercooler....( i got a greddy fmic)

here:

see where it goes? straight to the overflow, if you want to add coolant just add it where you normally do it, why would you put in to your overflow? check the link i have given you it explains how it work..

dont forget to bleed it after you put a new coolant..
