ok, i just fired up my car for the first time since i went true non-seq conversion. the car has been down for about a month doing the swap. the car fired right up like it always has then once the idle slowed down, it sounded like the car had a cam in it. it had a really rough idle. what would be the main cause. i will look closer tomrrow, its almost 1 am here so i am to tired to figure anything out, just wanted to know if that sounded realy familiar to anyone else, thanks ,scott

Did you convert your air pump to open atmosphere ? The airpump kind of sounds like that un corked. The funk idle might be in need of an sir adjustment screw turn.

thats not paint....
Non-sequential will have a little different sound... I dont think it should be that drastic. I just did the "poor-man's" so I'm not too sure where to look.

Going non-sequential defeats the World's Greatest Active Muffler System -- the sequential turbo setup. So your car will be much louder idling and cruising around town. The apparent lope could just be the new sound.

well yes, it gives out little puffs of black smoke with each lope. but i checjed the map and its all hooked up. i am thinking it is my front rotor not firing right, i am gonna pull my plugs and check them out. fired right up this morning and seemed to run smooth until it slowed down and idle at the lower speed. my vacume was reading about 16-17. thanks, scott

I hate those kinds of problems (the ones that fix themselves) cause you never know when they are gonna come back (and they usually do at the worst possible time).

How much louder are we talking here? What kind of sound is it and why is it louder? I know to do it right you remove the swing door in the exhaust manifold but why would that make it louder?

Ok.. Come one people.. It was down for a month.. probably just needed to burn some crap off.. Just keep an eye on it.. and if it starts acting up again, look into it more.
