With that low mileage, if you are not having boost problems I would leave the vacuum lines alone.

1. get a boost gauge to make sure your turbos
working correctly.
2. if #1 isn't working correctly. Vacuum hose job.
3. Temp gauge or ECU upgrade with temp reading.

After 1, 2 , 3.. Mod to your heart desires..
Good luck...

Welcome dude !! Most of the problems with the vacuum lines is that they either crack or pop off........A lot of people zip tie them to secure the lines, but you should be ok.......Get a boost gauge, so you know if your turbos are working correctly.

thanks for the warm welcome. i come from the dark side... y'know... the 8 cylinder crowd. :p

it's funny how a few mentioned the boost gauge. i'm used to the gauges on my other car and am having a hard time with the stock coolant temp gauge... it works but it's just that silly reading between "C" and "H". lol. not to mention lack of boost gauge.

i was thinking of getting nordskog gauges. they look nice imo. but i figure with the oil cooling aspect of the rx7 i better get an oil temp gauge as well.

i think i'll be getting, oil temp, oil pressure, coolant temp, fuel pressure, and boost. just gotta figure out a nice way to mount them all.

but mods won't start until a lot later on down the road. i'm still parting out my other car... couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy this one. the mileage on the car is just amazing.

Personally I would ditch the oil temp and go with H2O temp instead. I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me on this.

I agree, no need to monitor the oil temp, ya know it's going to be HOT so let it be hot. It's not going to tell you anymore than that. The water temp is important though due to its boiling point and knowing just how hot it is passing through those lines. If it even remotely gets close to gaseous form, the pressure while traveling down them hoses will surely make them burst like a mother.
