Just got my Greddy EVO exhaust: First Impressions

Well the long awaited day finally arrived. Got my PFC in, so on went the mid-pipe and catback. I originally wanted the Greddy Power extreme, but I was told that they are no longer making that and this is "close" replacement.

Mods are now, PFC, HKS down pipe, M2 cold-air intake (not cold air at the moment b/c of Koyo radiator too big) Mid-pipe and Greddy EVO catback.

Well the Greddy EVO is well…different. Very deep at idle and downshift, and an unbelievable seronious growl at WOT. A very unique sound by what few others I’ve heard. The construction is great, looks wonderful. Fitment if great, bolted and hung with no issues. Pictures of it mounted if you guys want em’

However a bit louder then I wanted…actually A LOT louder then I wanted. Any gas at all makes necks snap from all over. B/c of the low note I assume, there is little drone while cruising though. WOT will make people swerve to get the hell out of your way though.

Not very raspy even without the resonated mid pipe, until up in the 5500+ range at WOT. Even then not to raspy.

At idle I think it sounds kind of like an outboard boat engine. WOT there is just nothing to compare it to…trust me, I’ve tried. My brother is stumped also as to what to compare it to, other then an all out racecar.

Conclusion, great craftsmanship, low note, I think it sounds great, but loud.

Edit: As I was writing this, my brother read and said it is pretty raspy from behind the car. Ill have to let him drive tomorrow so I can hear it. From inside it doesn’t sound it.

Drive it for a while and let it break in, the sound might change.... but then again, all the GReddy EVO I've seen on Honda/Acuras have that bumblebee/raspy sound and I hated it, so went with the GReddy SP when I had my Lude.......

It does look nice tho.....

Please post pics!!
