Just got another FD and had some questions

So I bought another fd recently that needs a little work and thought I would try to figure out the motor first.

the car is a 93 silver base model with 113,000 miles
motor was rebuilt by Atkins rotary at 89k
motor has a street port with 3mm apex seals (I have reciepts totaling over 4500 from Atkins)
rebuilt stock twins from TEC (Turbo Engineering Corp) at same time of engine rebuild
Catback
Downpipe
and a turbo timer.

when I first picked up the car we managed to flood it so I pulled the fuel pump relay and cranked it. the car started and has been running with out the relay for a while now.?.?.?
when started in the morning it throws a little blue smoke. It idles ok some times but idles rougher most of the time. you can smell gas when it is just sitting.
You really cant get on the gas at all because it starts bucking around at anything more than 1/4 throttle. i believe it is running really rich in the lower rpm's and leaning out in the upper part of the tach.

I am pretty sure that the reason it is running this way is due to the fact that it is still running on the stock ecu.

my plans is to keep the car fairly stock for a while so I don't know if I should really get a stand alone ecu or just a chipped ecu

just thought I would get some opinions from some of the other more experianced forum members

thanks

The "Fuel Pump Relay" only switches the fuel pump between high and low power. (Don't rev the motor without this relay in place.)

To disable the pump, pull the "Circuit Relay" -- it's near the elbow.

I just put the relay back in and it still drives the same. I'll check the map sensor.
