Jspec wiring harness

I'm doing an engine swap with a jspec 13b-rew. Everything is in place but i ran into one problem. the one plug comming off of the wiring harness that doesnt plug into the ecu doesnt fit into the connector. so i guess my quesiton is what do i do next?.. is there a convertor i can buy or would i just have to clip the the plug off of the american wiring harness and slice it onto the jspec one?

by the way my car isa '94 and completely stock.. no mods

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there's no difference between a Japan 13B and a US 13B. There both from Japan!! The only thing the Japan motor doesn't have is the emmissions ****, other than that they are identical motors....You wasted your money if you paid more than $2000 for the motor. If you paid less, congrats.

the jdm motor has a couple of differences.
1. no egr
2. no aws
3. the engine harness goes to the oppisite side of the car.
other than that they are the same

The 97-98(16 bit) and 99-02(32 bit) Harnesses are completely different from the 92-96(8bit) models... and the completely backwards issue. From 97 up you cant even use the jspec engine front plate, differnt OMP and lots of other crap.

the plug that doesnt fit is the blue plug on the wiring harness and the one on the american engine was also blue.. everything else is plugged in comming off of the harness... everything esle is also in place and ready to go.. not real sure what year the jspec engine is.. but there is a good size difference in the ecu's also.. (just curious if there is anyway to tell the year of the engine by the ecu itself)

If the Oil Metering Pump is the same as you old one, I belive it should be 97-98.

i thought the deal was too good to pass up myself.. but i guess i'm gonna have to take my car to the dreaded mazda dealership to have the blue clip changed that doesnt match up... i've looked everywhere for the wiring diagrams on the jspec engines and can't get answers here

good luck on getting an engine.. it took awhile for me to get but to me it's worth it. ecspecially after i get t drive it

sorry i meant blue "clip".. i explained where it is located a couple of post up.. it's by the ecu and it connects into a blue female clip... the difference between the american and jspec clip where the connection is made is 4-2-4 on the american and 4-2-6 on the jspec

i was kind lost on the g3 myself
but it sounds like it already has a single turbo conversion or possibly some other upgrade.. you'll have to ask them about it
i got the 13btt-re. which is really 13b-rew.. "twinturbo"

the blue clip might be for the fan recall mod. it might connect directly to the black box as opposed through the patch cable that splits it.
