JDM/RHD Cluster Hood - Works with USDM?

So I came across a JDM Cluster hood meant for RHD FD's.

However, realistically, with the exception of the 12v jack, it looks almost identical....

Almost isnt good enough for me...

Has anyone had any experionce with using the RHD Gauge cluster hood for their LHD ones?

Its a pretty good deal... just dont want to shell out the cash then be reselling it on Ebay Japan later.

Thanks!

B

Pretty sure the curvature of the hood is different...... it won't fit.

User RECOLLECTER states the following:

I have a RHD on ebay from a JDM car I parted out. Immaculate condition to make it fit all you have to do is either trim the guide pin on the hood or make a slot on the dash. besides that all clips and screw fall in place. PM if interested

Hm, I compared LHD and RHD years ago---as in, I had both in my hands. As I recall they had a distinctly different shape to them. It looked like there was no way they were interchangeable.

I have both a LHD hood cluster unit and a RHD unit here somewhere. They don't interchange. The shape is significantly different.

My RHD car needed a new cluster and cluster hood, and all I could get was LHD ones. I paid $200 US-dollars (nearly $400 Aussie dollars by the time it got here to me) and it was completely wrong and won't $%^&*ing fit worth a damn. Wasted $400 Aussie dollars on the LHD USA cluster.
