JDM/RHD ACV wiring?
Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the USDM and JDM ACV? More specifically, the wiring?
I removed my ACV from the LIM on my JDM FD a couple months ago. This week I pulled the wiring harness to simplify it for my single turbo. I've been following some of the amazing guides on here, but 3 of my ACV plugs are missing.
I only have 1 ACV plug on my harness. Almost all of my other plugs are accounted for, and I definitely didn't remove any wiring when I pulled my ACV to begin with.
Either the JDM ACV only has 1 plug, or I have somehow magically lost 3 plugs from my harness.
Do all 4 plugs on the USDM harness trace right into the ecu clip, or is there maybe another connector somewhere that I might have unplugged?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Haha, thanks man. I was just about to message you on Redline.
Any idea what the little black connector is, just passed the engine side of the firewall boot? It's not on any of the USDM pictures I've seen. The wire is orange and goes into the main white connector.

I want to say coolant temp sensor below the oil filter pedestal, if its the connector in the image below, that's what it is.

I had the exact same issue with ACV only having one plug, couldn't figure out what i was missing on the harness.

upon further investigation, I'd say you're right. I still can't find it on the schematics, but that's what I'll go with for now.
One more question...
When you pulled your harness apart, did you have one completely loose wire? It's black with red stripes, black connector on one end, white on the other.
I'm fairly certain it's the coolant level switch connector, but I'm not certain...

It doesnt come out of the same spot on the harness on RHD as it does on the LHD, the coolant temp sensor that is, on the LHD harness it comes out of the housing ground sheath under the vacuum nest.
The coolant level switch is a white/opaque connector on the engine side of things, unsure what it is on the ECU side.
By loose do you mean it isnt within any of the factory taping under the original sheath?

no, by loose, I meant it doesn't connect to the ECU.
Once I pulled the harness completely apart and removed all the tape, it came loose.
Essentially it's just a length of black wire with red stripes that has a connector on each end.
