J&S Knock system

I recently bought the J&S knock retard sytem from a friend here locally , and I was wondering how do I begin using it ? Where do I begin , do I start by just keeping the splits more than 10degrees apart ? ...on the PFC ? How do I measure the sensitivity ? Where is a good starting point? HELP !! Mods ...PFC , AVC-R , Techedge wideband , DP , MP, CB , intake , non-sequential conversion , 1300 cc injectors , FMIC , 3 row radiator , pulley set , just some of the engine & elec. mods to give any of you a starting point for some advice ?!?

Start with the sensitivity **** at about 11 o'clock. You can't directly change the timing split with the current J&S. When it hears detonation, it pulls timing from the leading plugs.

The new J&S pulls timing from both the leading AND trailing plugs. So, split does not change. The old unit could potentially pull enough timing from the leading plug that you'd end up with the trailing plug firing first.
