and I get run into by a 4wd. At the time I was doing a grand total of no kph and had been doing nothing for about 10secs. She just accelerated out a sidestreet looking the other way and straight into me. No brakes no skidmarks, she was still accelerating when she hit. Do'h!

Look on a brighter side... Its your chance to get aftermarket bumper, vented hood, and slick lights.

Very very true. I've only had it for 6 weeks and its been in getting a new motor for three of those weeks and for one of those weeks I've had a new motor so had to drive nice and slow. Now its going to be in some panel shop for the next 2 or so weeks. Oh well, it could have been worse.

Wink

I can see it now, Feed Type II front bumper, Rotary Extreme Headlight kit, Knight Sports hood, and clear side lenses Just pay off the difference, it shouldn't be too much. Awesome idea FD-Fever. It just sucks that it happened to you, good luck.

Hmm....so.

You were hit by a WOMAN in an SUV?

Funny that a lot of "wreck stories" I hear on the automotive forums across the net always seem to involve these two factors....

What a PIA! Pick a good body shop....Match shade of red. 3 Months after I puchased my '89TII new, I was parked and a young fellow backed into the right front. Needed bumper cover, headlight door... It took the dealer 4 times to get it right. Now hairline cracks in cover. Didn't use the correct mix.
Good Luck

too many women in SUV's that don't know how to drive on the road. Bad combination for small car owners everywhere.

Down with SUVs!!!! Grrrr pisses me off the most then you see some tiny soccer mom is driving along in her Excursion talking on her cell phone while the kids beat the hell out of one another in the backseat. Oh well...

But the damage doesnt look too bad... And people have pointed out the bright side already. You have a reason to get 99 front bumper or whatever... Just make sure to have a good shop do the work for you...

Did they pay for the damages or just drive off?
Out of curiosity, how much is a bumper?

I like the rex like it is (was ) but I'm open to suggestions, what do these look like? Is there somewhere I can see them?

She said sorry a few times, she said she thought it was a one way street and that she thought the light was green (the light was a pedestrian crossing just after the intersection). She seamed to be accepting the blame but you never know.

1 drove off, the other doesnt have any money So it's still ongoing. Price is totally determined by whether I can find one in the country. Currently looking at at least $1200!
