Maduhbee,
DO NOT SELL THIS CAR!!! Repeat after me: I will not sell my car, I will not sell my car, I will not sell my car!!!
1. You have created a work of art - she is beautiful - there will never be another like her.
2. Instead of selling her for $25-29K you can apply for a couple of credit cards - go to your bank and ask about a business credit card, get a small business loan to buy the company car, get a home equity line of credit on your house, or hell ask mom and dad for a loan!!
Make sure you have exhausted all avenues before you put her on the market.
Best of luck.

If you have to sell it, try not to sell it to some punk teenager that is just going to wreck it. It's way to nice.
Good luck

Madubee, good luck and I'm sure your next business attempt will be much more successful. I agree, don't sell it to a wild-eyed schmuck with money.

Wow... such great advice...
The guy is doing the RIGHT THING by selling an expensive toy that he doesn't NEED right now... & people are telling him to instead, keep a toy (let's face it, the RX7 is JUST a big toy, as it isn't practical) that he can't afford & run up the credit card bills??
That way in 2 years he will have to sell the car to pay off the debt-collectors that keep harassing him for all the credit card bills he has racked up.
He is making the RESPONSIBLE, ADULT decision here.
I know it's hard to sell something that means so much to you... but you gotta do what you gotta do...

yeah autotrader didn't let me post more than 150 CHARACTERS. not even WORDS but characters. Autotrader is the worst! but anyway i wanted to say that i've exhausted all my options, and this is my final straw... If my business takes off, the first car i'm going to buy is an FD. I'm going to try and put it back the way i had it (spirit-r stuff) but that's gonna be even more difficult now.
hell maybe i can even import one! (gotta stay positive some how) but this is one of the most painful moments in my life:
first letting go my first FD (my dream car)
and then being in this shitty financial fix...

I dodn't know autotrader was so restrictive
You should post on the For Sale forum, with detailed information about your FD ... how long you've had it for, mods you've done and approximate cost of them, condition, compression test results, etc.
If you have pre-99 spec pics of your FD (I'm assuming you did the conversion), you should post them for comparison and indicate if any original parts are available as well ...
Direct any interested parties to the FS posting via e-mail link. Some of the information is overkill to those familiar with RX7s, but it never hurts. Just shows you're thorough, especially people outside of this forum or those just starting to get in to RX7s who have the finances to get one.
Once again, good luck. I would love to do a 99spec conversion on mine but I'm quite content keeping it stock as well
Hope you sort out your finances and business ventures and be able to get back to the FD scene in the near future.

Hmm. that is the boat I am in. just got laid off. broke up with the fiance (long story, but I should have left a year ago) and have no money. But I am not selling my stuff...... at least not yet. oh, and since I don't have a job, I can't keep the apt if she left, so I get the boot and she gets the apt.
