i have heard that you can sandpaper them out but what if its been that long can i still buff this these out it really looks bad, can someone give me some info

There small pits in the casting. You can sand them out but your basically going to start all over on your polishing and you never know when sanding those out where more are going to pop up, its difficult to get rid of them all and still have an even level surface. If you do your own polishing like I do it is definitely do-able but allot of work. I do allot of polishing for a hobby and side jobs and casting pits are by far the worst most annoying thing about it.

Yep, what twin triangles said, this is one of the problems with cast parts, sometimes you can get rid of them and sometimes you just keep finding more. If he doesn't want to do it for you I have a friend that's teaching me (doing my parts only) and he can do your parts. Send pictures of what you want done to <rotor4play@gator.net>

ok sounds good, bythe way thats what i want i want my engine to look clean, ? for you how do you keep your shine, do you use a cleaner or use steam

I would be happy to do it for ya but Ive got too many parts backed up already. I use mothers polish to clean it up but you pretty much want to re-buff everything with at least a color compound about every 4 years.
p.s. it you get coolant drops on your aluminum and wipe it off right away it will stain it until you repolish again, so be careful with that.

Yep, even the Evans will stain it when spilled on it. The pictures are of Tom's engine bay. He bought one of those small household steam cleaners, and from what I've seen it really works well. You didn't hear it from me but (Tom's a little **** retentive) when it comes to his car. Not that anyone on this list would know what I'm talking about. Send me some pictures of it,
