It's alive......wa-hoo

After 5 hard weekends of work, I finished my motor swap. (Click on my sig for a little background)

All and all the project went pretty smooth, a few minor problems, nothing to big.

The motor started up in about three turns, then died right away. Cranked again and it started and smoked pretty bad due to the oil I put in it during storage. It took awhile for the PFC to learn, but after running for about 20 minutes, the motor seems to be running pretty good.

Quick list of mods:
Motor:
Pineapple Rebuild
Medium to Large Street Port
Stage Three Oil Mods
Ianette 3mm Apex Seals
Heavy Duty Water Seals
5 Year Warranty

ECU:
Apexi Power FC

Fuel System:
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Four 850cc Injectors
Braided SS Lines

Everything Else:
M2 Carbon Fiber Intake
M2/ASP Medium Stock Mount Intercooler
Greddy Alternator And Water Pump Pulleys
Stock Non-Sequential Turbo's
All Block-Off Plates
Full Exhaust-RX-7 store midpipe and Greddy PE

First Impressions:
1. Streetport Idle - little rough but not to bad
2. Solid motor mounts - They transfer a little more vibration from about 1000-2000 RPM's. They are defiantly not that bad though. I would recommend them to anyone, the drivtrain feels a lot more solid.
3. Exhaust note- Still pretty quiet at idle and up to about 4,000 rpm. I haven’t boosted it yet so I really don't know how loud it will be under power.
4. Performance-Still to come

Once I get the motor tuned, I will report with some more impressions.

Here are some pics for everyone to enjoy.

It was a great feeling to hear the motor fire, it just makes all the hard work worth it. Now hopefully I won’t have any major problems.

I actually painted the alternator, don't know how long it will last though. I was going to polish it but I ran out of time and energy. I polished everything else myself.

Thanks for all the compliments.
