Issues. need advice

the 7 runs great, but in 2nd gear it boosts fine,once I go to shift into 3rd gear at around 10psi or higher it backfires like a sun of a bitch, any ideas? it only happens from 2nd to 3rd

Disconnect the 1st 2nd switch on the transmission . See if that makes a differance .
