Intercooler hose question

This is the deal... I'm running stock set up. The lower hose split. I have it taped presently and staying out of high boost, My mech. doesn't have one in stock and the local dealership wants 196.00 for the damn thing, freaking crooks. Don't really want to spend the 300.00 for a polished pipe kit, at the moment. Anyone know where I can get a single polished aluminum pipe to replace it, or any hose whatsoever? Thanks

Either buy one off of some that went with an upgraded intercooler, or get a shop to fab you a pipe. I bet there's someone in the forsale section with one for sale.

See if someone who has switched intercoolers will sell you their old one.

Are you talking about the S- hose that comes off the y-pipe that feeds into the bottom of the IC? For 99+ RX-7's, Mazda upgraded that rubber hose to be 1 piece. I'm not sure if I want to part with my extra one that I got imported from Japan but you may want to contact Mazda Comp and see what they charge for the upgraded part.

Yes, thats the one, but will go ahead and replace both of them while I'm at it, if I can get a deal. Jesse Lau may have some, I'll check today. What I was wondering is if anyone knew of a shop around central NC that could fab a pipe. All advice is appreciated. I posted a WTB in the sale section. Thanks again.

You can also buy the silicone hose upgrade kits for that location, 3 or 4 vendors sell them, But I can't remember which off the top of my head. I have a used set. PM me if u are interrested. I could probably dig it out early next week.
