Intake Question

Hey every1,
The previous owner of my car installed an HKS aftermarket intake on my car.
Based on my research this thing blows as far as filtering goes and Apex-i is the best kit out there. Now i don't want to shell out $250 to get the whole kit unless absolutely necessary so i got to thinking....
Could i just get two Apex-i filters and fit them onto the hard pipes that the HKS kit supplied?

Lemme know if that sounds feasible.
Thanx,
Zach

i have the apexi set that works awesome. i love it. but i think since you have the hard pipes from the hks i would definately say give it a try and just buy 2 apexi filters. depending on the size of the hard pipes it may give the same effect.
