As some of you may or may not be following along on our social media, we've had 10+ shops do indepent back to back dyno comparisons using our new Upper intake Manifold. These units require a retune, and it takes less than 45 minutes to install one of these, so we have been supplied with quite a few back to back dyno charts. This particular customer has 2 Single Turbo 3rd gens, and after his first dyno test, he was so pleased with the results he bought one for his second FD. Below each picture as the text of the mods. Track testing has also shown quite a significant improvement. Erick Turbo installed one back to back on the Goopy Performance Drag 1st gen, and picked up 3MPH in the 1/8. We've got 200+ of the new semi pport, and sideport lower intake manifolds almost finished also, and we have quite a few customers looking to back to back dyno test those units also. There have been mixed results on the difference in throttle response with the OEM throttle body. Shawn and I did a back to back install( OEM FD UIM/74mm bosch DBW vs our UIM/74mm bosch) and that particular car picked up throttle response. We are about to finish a run of the 74mm DBW plates, so we are going to also line up a complete dyno test( OEM vs 82mm vs 74mm). Lastly we do have some really high HP engines getting ready for the dyno with these units( 900/1000HP +)
We've got 80+ of the UIMs in stock; Upper Intake Manifold
After the pre orders ship we will have about 40 of each LIM available( also starting the FC & 20B models next week) Lower Intake Manifolds
EWG 9174 @ 14 psi back to back Pump gas, medium streetport 13BREW EWG 9180 @ 22 psi ( T4 1.45) Half Bridge, Pump gas with water injection Excessive LIM Same 9180 Car, just showing the Torque Graph 9180 engine bay( 9174 car is almost identical, same VMount/air filter etc)
I am very curious to see how the motors respond with our new lower intake manifolds. It does appear the twins will fit with the sideport models( will be test fitting one next week to confirm). Albeit these are designed for track use only( no emissions castings).
Does you 13BREW LIM reduce intake runner lenght or only the upper? I assume a significant part of the peak power rpm shift is from reducing the overall runner length in conjunction with increasing flow area?
The reduced height of the 20B lower makes it obvious on that one.
