Been hearing a noise that I could hear best with my ears right to the intake filter. . .sounds like a popping/clanking and getting worse. Today I think I isolated it to the air pump in that when I disconnect the gray electrical connector for the air pump, the clutch disengages and the clanking stops. Two questions: 1) anyone ever experienced this? Is it just the air pump going bad internally?; and two, I looked in the classifieds for an air pump and didn't find one. . .there must be hundreds of them out there from cars where it was removed for performance reasons. Any thoughts are appreciated. . .ps. anyone know what a new air pump goes for? I can call Ray Monday, but just curious.
