Question Instrument (gauge) cluster cover mount points broken, what to do?

Upon taking apart my instrument cluster cover (like the one below), the little cylindrical mount points where the screws thread into simply fractured and broke off into tiny pieces. Has anyone found a good way to repair those? I feel like if I could find a pre-threaded cylinder of plastic (or something similar), I could sand it down flat and epoxy the new cylinder. Has anyone done something similar?

Best stuff I've found is Plast-Aid -

Amazon Amazon

If you look around there are Youtube videos on it. Stuff becomes plastic and fuses to the existing plastic.

If you have some of that screw peg still there, put the screw in as best you can, mix the Plastaid up, and pack it in there. Once it hardens remove the screw. You may need to fine-tune the shape a little with a Dremel or something.

Hands down this is the best stuff I've found for repairing interior plastics. Does take a little finesse but it does the trick. It can also help to define a "mold' of where you want it to be, even just some masking tape or something.

I was logged on and wrote a good explanation on how to fix it. Then when I entered the post, this friggin site said I was not logged on. It had logged me off fore some reason.
Thus I am pissed off, now you get the short version that will test your skills.

Aluminum tube to go over the plastic pegs. JB Weld to hold it all together.
Drill new screw holes if needed.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'll definitely look into using that plastic epoxy.

Regarding the aluminum cylinders, what types/sizes cylinders did you use?

I actually went a step further and put a sheet over the entire inner surface after repairing the tabs.
