Installing some DRL's in my RHD, need a little bit of advise...

Hey guys,

I picked up my FD from the ports a couple days ago... It is TOTALLY mint, everything works and i am super pleased.

I have finished installing the US spec headlights, that was a breeze, and i have installed a DRL module in my FC before.

The red wire needs to have +12V when the ignition is turned ON. The yellow wire needs to be hooked up to the + wire on the light which you wish to turn into DRL's. The blue wire is to be hooked up to the headlight lowbeam wire so that when the headlights are turned on the DRL module disconnects power to the yellow wire.... Seemed pretty easy..

So i took out my front right headlight assembly, took the column covers off... had a look under the column . Which 12V wire should i use?!?!? I dont want to use the ignition wire as it it too heavy of guage, and im not sure if i should use anything around the fuse box....

What wire do you guys use to power your aftermarket guages? Im sure it is a +12v when the ignition is on....

Any pictures of which wire to use??

A picture from a RHD car would help a lot!!

Regards,

Ben

Most people take 12V from the fuse box in the driver's footwell (for LHD cars that is). You could look at the electrical diagrams in the FAQ documents for an ignition-activated 12V wire if you want a closer power source - I can't imagine LHD and RHD cars differ much in headlight wiring.

Ya, seems like that is the easiest way to do it... the cigarette lighter is hard to get at...

Any other ideas?
