installing a bigger Radiator.

hey guys

im picking some info before i start taking the car apart so i will be prepared for this installation.
i recently purchased the greddy rad from rhdjapan.com which is 2 times thicker than the stock one.
https://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/TRUST-G...-REW-M-T-19734

does that fit on the stock position ? any tips before i start?
the rad has to be removed from underneath and not from top right?

Thanks

Con

I installed a SR rad in the car, six months ago. I pulled it out from the top.

You can remove it from above, but you'll obviously need to remove a ton of parts to do so, and then reinstall them afterward. If you have a way to get the car up on jackstands, it's easier to do it from below. The thicker radiator will mean that you'll probably have to reverse the L brackets on each side to lower the assembly, otherwise you're going to run into clearance issues with the fan assembly (actually, you may run into clearance issues anyway, depending on how thick it is). Be sure to leave the cardboard on the open side when installing so that you don't tweak the core fins.

Search on this subject, I'm sure you'll find a lot of tips.

The SR Motorsports radiator is 2.1" wide. Not hard to put in, just takes a little time.
Pull the IC out, then the fans. Tape up the nose (bumper), so not to scatch it.

Kento, Thanks, got any pics of the installation process?

My car is pretty much naked in the engine bay, just an intercooler on top of the rad
