I have the 929 CYL with stock brakes ,ss lines and I drilled the rotors . I like the feel of it over the stock cyl . And I did not make any new lines or bend any lines .I remachined the cyl for a drop in fit . And of course the thing is polished .

Perhaps people that are experiencing a BIG improvement when changing to the 929 master cylinder are feeling the additional benefits of having replaced a worn original master cylinder or replacing old brake fluid which would cause a brake feel improvement above and beyond what the slightly larger master cylinder bore alone could create.[/QUOTE]

My intent in pointing out that you have to push harder with the 929 master was just so that people wouldn't get sucked into believing some kind of false idea about getting something for nothing. The bigger master cylinder just changes your hydraulic leverage -- reduces it, in trade for not having to push as far. The mechanical principle is simple and is worth knowing if you are interested in how your brakes (or hydraulic cylinders in general) work: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/brake3.htm

this is a good point....everything on these cars is now about 12 years old (or more) so it's a good chance any dynamic part will need to be replaced, especially anything containing fluid with seals

brake calipers, or at least the pistons, are probably next...it never ends
