Installation Q: Apexi Dual n1's

I installed my Dual N1's. I previously posted a concern about melting the under bumper plastic lip. It seems that there would be no mod nessary if the tips were moved twards the drivers side about 1-1.5 in. They would have fit in the alloted space of the stock exaust. It seems that apexi could of angled the flange correctly and fixed this issue. .... Finally question is ... should i cut the plastic or make it more center (Some how) to avoid melting?
Thanks Ahead

Thanks to everyone for replying to my other post... I am posting again... if not clear above.... I dont understand why bending the hangers will help. THe restricting factor is the bolted together cat and cat-back. Bending the hanger would just put stress on the joint of the cat and catback, flanges...
Thanks again..
