Insalled the Greddy FM and other stuff

Last week me and a couple of my friends installed the Greddy front mount on my '93 Touring. First off, they have stickers on the pipes to show you which way the flow goes, well we tried for a better half of an hour trying to get 1 into 2, come to find out they put the damn sticker on backwards- so we flip it around- perfect! Oh yeah, we put in the Koyo rad too, broke a fricken AC line so no air conditioning this summer (could get it fixed pretty easy, but i'll try it without it). Then my Apex intakes wouldn't fit back on, so we had to make some superduper custom pipes using the stock hoses and my hard pipes, one of them runs under the intercooler pipes almost all the way over to where the stock battery relocation is. Then we couldn't put the BOV where it was before!
Well we finally got everything on/in and put coolant in the radiator and it won't even get up into the overflow tank, it just leaks out of the hole on the AST that dumps it under the headlight so now we have to look at that. Does the AST have to be mounted above the overflow? I know it's not leaking from a loose fitting or hose, but i don't know why it is. Tomarrow I get my Datalogit
Working on the 7 really sucks, but man i love my car.

Hahaha, at least post some pictures so that we can all see where your hardwork went. Oh yeah, I heard that with a Greddy FMIC, the only intake that will fit is their own.

Those damn airflow stickers ended up pointing in all directions when I finally installed my FMIC.. Guess they're having a lot of fun putting them on at the factory!

they are playing "lets screw with the gringos in the states!"

I know a couple of guys on here that actually made their Apexis work with the Greddy 2 row for twins. As for the AST, it has to be inline with the filterneck...if it's lower it's just going to keep pouring out and the filterneck will never get full...try raising it to the same level as the filterneck and it should work!...As for pics I would like to see what it is you did with your intakes becasue I have the same intakes and going to go with the greddy 2 row FMIC...

thanks for sharing...Now put some pics up and a description of how you got the intakes to work would ya!

pics will be up prolly saturday. hopefully sooner!
the intake on the bottom almost makes a U shape and comes back around infront of the engine and the filter is just short of where the battery was. the other intake is pretty close to where it was, it's just up a little higher and over to the fender more. you'll be able to see very good when i get the pics.
i'll try to find somewhere higher to mount the AST.

i had to do a getto intake like that too. i had greddy hard pipes from the stock intake so i cut those up and used them. the front turbo intake looks funney because it is more culplings than pipeing.

the front clip: i would say it was about 3 inches or so, all on the bottom and the sides (off the opening in the middle), i don't think the top needed any trimming (we did cut it down a little tho)

the re-bar that is under the clip needs to get cut too, you need to cut out the middle part from about an inch inside of each hole for the turn signals. There's a good pic of that at the rx7store site in the install part. I know my buddy took some pics of that but i haven't seen them yet.

hmmm

This pic I am guessing? I didn't even know the re-bar was going to be reused....probably the smart thing to do I see where it needs to be trimmed 1 or inches on each side but how is that affecting the turn signals?

Thought I would take your advice and do the FMIC with the Airinix intake....din't really want to mess with the whole pipe frabrication thing...Also went ahead and got the Koyo too...I have already ripped my front bumper off, taken out the stock IC and Rad and I don't even have the stuff yet...can you say "jumping the gun a bit?"

If you went Koyo rad with GReddy 2-row FMIC, you have no other option but GReddy Airinx dual intakes (assuming you have twin turbos). BTW, you'll need to use a stainless steel flexhose to replace the upper rad hose to get everything to fit properly. PM Jason of Rx7 Store for details.
