I am going to tune up the motor in this FD that I am buying. I do not plan on installing bigger turbos but will do some mods eventually. I am going to start by freshening up the motor and doing a quality fuel system, what size injectors should I go with. I am new to rotaries so I dont know very many performance specs. Any help would be great...

 

Fuel system is actually a good place to start - most people overlook the fuel system in these cars when they start modding. Most people are ok with 1200 or 1300 cc secondaries. Your primaries are fine. RX7.com says that the stock injectors run at 100% duty cycle at around 380 flywheel hp or 320-330 rwhp. It's nice to keep them around 65-80%

 

I wouldn't upgrade them until you need them though.

 

As kwikrx7 stated, you can uprade the secondary injectors. However, it's not as simple as just "plugging them in". You'll need a programmable ECU to control the additional fuel.

I imagine you'll need to upgrade the fuel rail as well, and it just keeps going. This is why most people don't start out with upgrading the fuel system first.

 

why don't you start with an upgraded ecu, a standlone if you have the money and want to go that far, and an upgraded fuel pump
