injector questions

Hey guys, I have a couple of injector questions for you. I will start by listing my mods. Streetport, smic, power fc, dp, mp, cb, upgraded fuel pump, T04s. I am currently using stock primaries and 1200 secondaries. I have not yet boosted my car over 5-6 lb and am getting ready to go to the dyno. I do plan on switching over to 1600 secondaries, but my question is what to do with my primaries. I have read where going to 850 primary will cause the car to run too rich. Do you think I would be fine to run stock primaries and 1600 secondaries or should I go 850/1600. The car is my weekend car and I will be normally running 15 lb boost with the occasional 17 lb run. If I do go with the 850 primaries, do I have to also buy a new primary fuel rail? I know I have to buy the secondary rail with the 1600's, but not sure about the primaries.

Thanks,

Ryan

Do you want to push your injectors over 85% duty?

You are going to be pushing out over 400RWHP at 14-15 psi on pump gas, if it is tuned correctly. That will be over 85% duty on your 1200s (w/550s).

With 1600s in the secondaries and 550s in the primaries you should be able to support about 480 RWHP (at 85% duty). You probably won't make over 500 RWHP with that turbo, running high boost and race gas. And if you are only doing that every so often, I don't think that there will be an issue. You will need a fuel rail for 1600s.

You may want to ask XS. They have a lot of experience with that turbo.

IMO, I would try to stick with 550s in the primaries if you can.
