I have a huge problem with 93'FD jdm, just shipped from the South Africa.
Initially the engine run with smoke and shoots in the exhaust.
And soon the engine stopped starting - after repair some gauges wiring (collant level lamp and temperature gauge)
More precisely, the engine started good, but died after a couple of days at the parking.
I've found OMP wiring and connector cutted by belt and crank pulley. Now it's repaired.
Also leading spark plug wires was vise versa, now it's correct
But engine wont start anyway.
Also self-test diagnostic wont activate.
I checked all FI wiring on PCM connector with FSM.
All critical voltage and resistance is good, spark is stable, CAS's signals are stable too (0.11V each)
Bot something cut injector pulses after 4-5 signals while cranking.
What can cut injectors after several pulses?
I would be grateful for any help!!! This thing is really want to kill my brain))
How do you know the injector pulses are stopping after 4-5 pulses? That is a very specific statement, and it's not easy to measure injector pulses with the tools most people have. Are the coils also firing only 4-5 pulses, or do coils keep firing but only the injectors stop firing?
Diagnosing no-start on a rotary is similar to no-start on a piston engine. It needs compression and the right amount of air, fuel, correctly-timed spark. That is only four paths that need to be checked, and then you continue following the path that looks wrong. My perspective is a little warped because I've been running standalone ECUs instead of the factory ECU for 15+ years so I have different ways of getting engine info. If you have spark but the injectors are shutting off, I might try using starting fluid to see if it stays running. If both fuel and spark are turning off while cranking, I would try replacing the CAS sensors or run new wires between the ECU and the CAS sensors. The CAS sensor wiring is near the OMP wiring, so it could have been damaged by whatever hurt the OMP wiring. If you run new wiring, look for twisted shielded pair. I would buy it from ProWireUSA but there may be other sources for it where you live.
edit, link to the cable I would use from ProWireUSA. One cable per sensor. https://www.prowireusa.com/TSB-2C . I would buy the factory CAS connectors and the factory ECU pins from Corsa-Technic, so you have a completely new piece without reusing any of the original wires or pins. It's possible to carefully de-pin the original pins from the factory ECU connector. Let me know if you need help finding the part numbers, I can spend some time searching later.
