injector boring to 1300cc

hi guys,
i have a set of 850s and i ma thinking to bore them to 1300 at the rceng. my only concern i have is the mileage on the injectors.
they have about 100-120k miles on them and i do mnot know the lifespan of these type of injectors.
the cost for new ones and the boring is very high and out of question. also i would prefer not to change the rail.
what do you suggest?
anyone who runs the 1300 to advice me?
thanks!!!!

some say the 1300s fail and the 1200s are better. i've got a friend who's had 1300s for a couple years with no problems. I'm not sure how many people here have had them fail.

I was never able to get an answer to that question either - how long is the lifespan of an injector

On my recent rebuild / drivetrain restoration, I decided to get a set of lower mileage primary injectors and had them cleaned. My original injectors had 140k miles on them. Japan2LA often sells lower mileage secondaries that he gets bored to 1300cc secondaries by RC Eng. I'd probably go that route and keep your old injectors as spares.

My ears were burning.. Thanks for the plug..

The 1300cc I have been offering indeed are pulled from low mile Jspec FD3S engines...all of them under 40,000 miles of use, most under 30,000 and some even lower. I have been sending them in for modification to 1300cc and selling them off on the forum, with out a core charge or requirement of you sending me your 850cc injectors. Its the fast way to get a pair of 1300cc and keep your original 850cc just incase you want tp go back to stock..or simply want a spare set to hold onto.. I am offering them for $357.50 shipped (lower 48 states) and can ship overseas for about $15.00 extra.

As far as shelf life of an injector... of course lower mileage units are better but if your high mileage units still flow correctly, and are not leaking externally, you are good to go! Keep using them... or send them in for modify..

I would only modify injectors that:
Have zero external damage
Flow a true 850cc prior to mod
Zero external leaks
lowest possible mileage (not big deal if yours pass the 1st 3 inspection)
