Induction Systems

What is the best induction system to replace the stock air box? With Greddy, HKS, APEXi, M2,.... I cant decide. And how in the hell is HKS street legal in Cali. but no other is?

I think it might be legal, because they may have gotten there's DOT approved.

First off, there is a difference between street-legal and CARB legal. Any manufacturer can say that their product is street legal, but in order to be CARB legal the product has to undergo CARB testing to ensure that the part meets certain guidelines.

A Greddy turbo kit or say a Civic is CARB legal because the kit has a non-programmable ECU, closed loop WG, and a turbo that does not pollute so much. You can make a similar custom setup and copy everything on the Greddy kit to the very last detail, but your custom kit will still not be CARB legal. That's because the Greddy kit actually went through the testing process and got their CARB E.O. number, your custom kit didn't.
